Fire David Letterman
Recently on “The Late Show,” David Letterman had Sarah Palin on as a guest, and he made a few jokes about her. For his infamous “Top 10 List,” he did ”The Top Ten Highlights of Sarah Palin’s Trip to New York” which included Palin going to Bloomindale’s to “update her slutty flight attendant look.” He also said her daughter had been “knocked-up” by A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees) in the seventh inning. The top ten joke is hilarious, but the second one is a little over the top since Palin’s daughter is like 14. However, when you agree to go on “The Late Show,” you’re basically giving them full rights to tear on you in any way they see fit… that’s pretty much the point of the show.
Not everyone feels the same way… in fact a website has been started: http://www.firedavidletterman.com/ with sample boycott letters for people to send into CBS as well as a list of their advertisers that you can write to as well. They also mention they are having a rally on Tuesday, June 16, at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City where… you guessed it… Late Show with David Letterman is recorded. Wow… talk about taking it too far! I guess not everyone has a sense of humor.
